Description:

A Quadcopter / Multirotor RC Drone simulator is available with various features for RC enthusiasts to practice their flying skills. It includes First Person View (FPV), Heads Up Display (HUD), Return Home, Course Lock, Home Lock, Camera Gimbal, Acro mode, Acro 3D mode, and more.

Now, the simulator also supports Google Cardboard VR for an immersive flying and FPV experience. It is important to note that this simulator is not a game, but specifically designed for RC enthusiasts.

The simulator offers a realistic physics model of a quadcopter and interactive selection of different camera modes, including Eye level Camera, First Person View Camera, Stabilized Gimbal Camera, and Follow Camera. The Eye level Camera Mode allows users to walk around while flying by dragging the middle of the screen or enabling the accelerometer button on the left side.

Other features include Return to Location (RTL) which automatically returns and lands the quadcopter in its landing position when it goes out of range, Position Hold which attempts to hold the quadcopter's position when control sticks are released, Course Lock which maintains consistent movement regardless of quadcopter orientation, Home Lock which ensures forward and backward movements are consistent in relation to the user, and a Heads-up Display (HUD) displaying real-time pitch, roll, heading, altitude, and speed.

The simulator also allows users to adjust control sensitivity settings, enable auto stabilization, use an altitude hold switch to maintain altitude, and access advanced settings such as changing total weight, thrust settings, PID settings, and aerodynamic drag values. Multiple quad/scene selection and basic challenges are also available for entertainment purposes.

The simulator supports multiple input modes including mode1, mode2, mode3, mode4, and accelerometers. Users can change these via the settings page. Additionally, camera rotation is possible in FPV and gimbal camera modes by clicking and dragging from the center of the screen.

Dynamic wind effects are included, with wind reduction when flying behind buildings. For an enhanced virtual reality and FPV experience, Google Cardboard is supported. However, it is important to have a controller attached to the device as the only way to control the quadcopter in this mode is with a controller. The trigger button on the cardboard can be used to click buttons on the user interface, and touching anywhere on the screen acts as a trigger event.

The simulator also offers settings for maximum tilt angle and auto stabilize sensitivity, with changes to these settings impacting the quadcopter's behavior. Expert flying modes such as Acro and Acro 3D are available, bypassing auto stabilization. In Acro 3D mode, the quadcopter can even fly upside down, with throttle sticks producing reverse thrust when moved down from the center position.

Overall, this quadcopter simulator provides a realistic and comprehensive experience for RC enthusiasts to practice and improve their flying skills.
